Popular two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Motors introduces the e-scooter in the market. The company brings the Hero VIDA V1 electric scooter to the market, setting a world record. After continuously running for 24 hours, the scooter covered a distance of 1780 kilometers. No other electric scooter has covered such a long distance before.
The Guinness World Records authority states that this is the only electric scooter to have covered the maximum distance of 1780 kilometers within 24 hours. Previously, a battery-powered scooter held the record for traveling the farthest distance of 350 kilometers. Hero MotoCorp's VIDA V1 surpassed all of that and claimed the Guinness World Record title.
The Hero MotoCorp VIDA V1 e-scooter set this record in Jaipur, India at the Hero Center for Innovation and Technology (CIT) from April 20 to 21, 2023.
On April 20, a team of six drivers created this record. They started their journey at 6:45 AM, riding the VIDA V1 in a relay format. The next day, on April 21, they broke the previous record late at night around 2:00 AM, and completed the final lap at 6:45 AM. The battery swap took only 20 seconds and was repeated a few times.
This Hero VIDA V1 electric scooter features a removable battery. Due to its excellent performance, range, and high speed, it has gained popularity within a few days. The scooter can perform well in any environment.
