Bajaj, one of the world's largest and most popular motorcycle manufacturers, is introducing one modern bike after another to the market. In this sequence, Bajaj is now bringing a 110cc CNG bike. While the popularity of electric bikes is rising, Bajaj is introducing a CNG-operated bike. This is Bajaj's first CNG bike.
The company has already developed some prototypes of the bike. The bike might be named 'Bajaj E102 CNG.' It is heard that the bike may be launched for sale in India next year by Bajaj.
Alongside Compressed Natural Gas, the company also intends to increase the number of ethanol-powered bikes. Bajaj Auto Company is working with the aim that customers can ride a two-wheeler with the minimum fuel cost.
Over the past few years, extensive changes have been made in vehicle manufacturing to reduce air pollution and lower import bills. Bajaj has also started using CNG and LPG in three-wheelers. Hence, Bajaj holds about 90% of the market in three-wheeler passenger vehicles. Based on this success, they have devised a plan to use CNG in two-wheelers.
Bajaj plans to produce 1 to 1.5 million units of this bike annually. However, this plan has recently changed for Bajaj Company. Their goal is to produce 200,000 CNG bikes every year. However, the price of the Bajaj CNG bike is not known yet.
