Despite the significant advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technology globally, Apple has been somewhat behind compared to tech giants like Samsung and Google in integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology into their devices.
While competitors have added various AI-dependent features to their devices, Apple has not made such strides until now. Although the company had previously announced the addition of AI technology to their devices multiple times, specific information was not disclosed.
Now, Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, has revealed in a recent meeting that within this year, Apple devices will utilize Generative AI features. The biggest tech company has already begun working on this AI initiative. During a meeting held last Thursday, Cook stated, "The technologies that will determine our future, we are investing in and utilizing those technologies and features seamlessly.
Among them, artificial intelligence is also included. In artificial intelligence, we have invested our effort and time sparingly. We are very excited to share detailed information about our ongoing AI projects towards the end of this year."
While Cook confirmed the introduction of Generative AI features in Apple products during the meeting, he did not specify the exact month when these features would be implemented. He mentioned, "I'm just saying that there is a lot Apple can do with Generative AI."
Mark Gurman, a well-known Bloomberg reporter specializing in Apple, has reported that the next version of iOS, 'iOS 18,' could bring the most significant breakthrough in Apple's history. Therefore, analysts, in light of Gurman's estimate and Tim Cook's announcement, speculate that starting from iOS 18, users of all Apple devices, including iPhones and iPads, will have the opportunity to experience AI technology.
