The clouds of the Iran-Israel conflict have thickened in the Middle East once again. This time, its significant impact has reached India as well. In the current volatile situation, Air India has announced the cancellation of all flights to Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel's city, until April 30, 2024.
Air India authorities have stated that this decision has been made prioritizing the safety and security of passengers. Earlier, last week, flights between Delhi and Tel Aviv-Yafo had already been suspended.
In a statement released last Friday (April 19, 2024), Air India authorities informed that until April 30, all flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, have been suspended. Consequently, in the coming month, Air India will not operate any flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, and no flights will come to India from there.
Air India further stated that they are closely monitoring the overall situation in the Middle East. Passengers who have already purchased tickets for the affected flights will be assisted by Air India. There will be no additional charges for the cancellation of flight tickets.
At the beginning of next month, in response to the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria, Iran retaliates by launching missiles into Israel from Isfahan city. This has escalated the situation, complicating matters for Israel. However, Israel's claim is that Iran's attempt to launch an attack has failed. On the other hand, Israel has not officially commented on the incident.
