If You Lost During Hajj, What To Do In Mecca and Medina?

Before understanding anything upon arriving in Mecca to perform the Holy Hajj, many pilgrims get lost. If pilgrims get separated from their team, they may not be able to perform Tawaf and Sa'i properly due to the newness of Saudi Arabia. If someone suddenly gets separated from the group, they may become disoriented for the moment. Although local residents, Saudi workers, and Bangladeshi Hajj offices in Mecca and the Masjid Al Nabawi area's help center helps lost pilgrims find their way back, however getting lost still causes distress.

Traveling to Makkah, Medina for Umrah Hajj

We all know that upon reaching Saudi Arabia, pilgrims leave for Mecca to perform Umrah and Hajj, leaving their everything in booked houses or hotels. In this haste, before understanding anything, they may get separated from their group while performing Tawaf and Sa'i.

Keep in mind, the area around the Masjid al-Haram is not small. Its location spans a vast area. To enter here, there are nearly 100 entry points. Besides, construction work is often underway for the expansion of Masjid al-Haram, so despite the similar appearance of the entry points, the names and numbers of the gates are different.

Remember, due to excessive crowding, many pilgrims get lost while performing Tawaf and Sa'i. Therefore, inform your Hajj companion beforehand, and if they get lost, know where to wait for them. For example, decide where to do prayers after completing Tawaf or where to wait if they get lost while performing Sa'i on Safa or Marwah.

It's good to know that through the IT help desks of the Hajj offices in Mecca and Medina, the responsible authorities ensure that those who get separated from their groups are safely accommodated in their own homes or hotels.

In case of getting lost, for example, if someone gets lost due to the crowd near or around at the Gate 79, known as Badshah Fahad gate, they can wait just at entry point of Badshah Fahad Gate 79.

Similarly, if someone gets lost due to the crowd towards the direction of Mount Uhud (Masjid Al Nabawi) at Gate 21, known as King Fahad Gate, they can wait just at entry point of King Fahad Gate 21.

For your own needs and safety during Hajj, always keep your team's mobile number, agency name, group leader's mobile number, address, hotel name, etc., written down with you. Even if you get lost for any reason, inform your team member and wait at a specified location as previously discussed with your group or seek assistance from a trusted person around you.

We pray that your Hajj is accepted at Allah. Take care, prioritize your health, and may Allah protect you all time. Goodbye.
